Cause:
- Temporary problems with the network or server infrastructure (usually restored immediately).
- You have activated your SIMConnect and are outside the coverage area of your contracted plan.
Step-by-Step Solution:
Step 1 - Wait a few minutes or wait upon arrival at the destination:
- Sometimes activation can take up to 15 minutes, depending on the mobile network and operator coverage in the area.
- Even if the message "activating" or "activation error" appears. The SIMConnect activation will be automatically completed when you reach the coverage area of your contracted plan.
Step 2 - Verify the Internet connection:
- Make sure you are connected to a Wifi network or have a active data connectionto correctly download the SIMConnect Plan.
Step 3 - Restart the device:
- Turn the mobile device off and on to reset the changes in the Cellular Plan.
Step 4 - Verify coverage at the current location:
- Make sure there is mobile network coverage at your location.
Step 5 - Update the Operator's configuration:
iOS:
- Go to the application Configuration > General > Information.
- If an operator configuration update is available, a notification to update will appear.
- You will need to update the configuration.
