Problem
After activating your eSIM using a QR code or a manual activation code, you may see the following error message:
"eSIM not supported."
"This eSIM is from a carrier that is not currently supported on this iPhone."
Error Causes
This error indicates that your device is locked by your operator and does not allow you to install plans from other operators.
Check if your device is locked
- Go to Configuration > General and plays About.
- In the section Operator lockoutyou should see the message: No SIM restrictions.
If the carrier lock field says something different, the device is locked.
Solutions
Please contact your carrier to unlock your device. This can usually be done over the air by contacting your carrier's customer service, either by phone or live chat.
